We preach the Cross and so we should. But how often do we pause long enough to think how the Father was moved by what was happening at the cross?

Paul does not say. He does not say, “for” everything give thanks. He says, “in” everything give thanks.

Paul doesn’t want us to take for granted the comfort offered. He wants us to know it, to really know it, to grasp it, to rest on it, to rejoice in it

Paul tells us something remarkable in Romans 8:26–27. when our words fail, the Spirit of God steps in—not just to help, but to pray on our behalf.

That which causes heart decay and body decay and mind decay and spiritual decay–all that will be removed once and for all. This is the hope that holds us.
